Five Chemical-Free Tricks I Use For Clearer Skin

Just like managing your finances or maintaining a regular exercise routine, sustaining a modeling career requires maintenance regimens. One of these is keeping your skin healthy and clear. That means maintaining a slim face, tight-looking skin, and no pimples. Clients are constantly asking for digitals/polaroids (which I explain here), so making sure you’re on your A skin game is a big deal. Like many, I had trouble with acne beginning in my adolescent years. And as us acne sufferers know, it’s something that stays with you for a lifetime. Ugh! Finish Him! Flawless Victory! Babality! If you recognize all three of these phrases, you probably grew up in the nineties like I did. As with many, Mortal Kombat was a big part of my childhood, but to understand this, I’ll need to dial back to the beginnings of my infatuation with video games.

Me and my first chick, circa 1990

My relationship with gaming began in the early nineties. My parents were never big on weekly allowances or giving in to the materialistic wants that my brother and I shared. In fact, they would usually require us to complete a bunch of chores in order to unlock a few bucks and a trip to the toys aisle at the local Target. However, the one exception to this protocol came whenever my dad returned from an overseas work trip. He would almost always bring back a couple of items for my brother and me. Sometimes it would be a keychain with a metal frog that chirps. Other times a garment that I would never wear publicly and instead became PJs.

Capturing New Mexico On Film

New Mexico is a photographer’s dream. The sunsets are stunning, the high desert and mesa landforms are a sight to behold, and the interesting and bizarre landmarks throughout the state are absolutely fascinating. Last month, Kori and I rented a car in Santa Fe and drove through Albuquerque, Los Alamos, Very Large Array in Socorro County, and White Sands. Below are some film photos I took during the trip with my Hasselblad 501cm and 35mm Yashica T5.

How I Became A Male Model In New York City

If you told me 10 years ago that I would eventually become a male model living in New York City, I would’ve sent you to the crazy house.

Many folks ask me how I started as a model. And despite how often I get asked this question, it’s a totally fair one. I never aspired to become a model. And no, I did not come to New York with the intention of launching a modeling career. I suppose it was a rare combination of fate, timing, and being open to new opportunities.
